Booking & payment
Do I need to create an account to book?
No — you can check out as a guest with just your email (and WhatsApp number if you like). An account simply keeps your orders, reviews and traveller details in one place.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major credit and debit cards via our payment providers (Stripe / PayPal, depending on your region). If you prefer bank transfer for multi-day journeys, contact us and we will arrange it.
Is my payment secure?
Yes. Payments are processed by PCI-DSS compliant providers — your card details never touch our servers.
Changing & cancelling
What is your cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before most city tours, and up to 7 days before multi-day journeys. Refunds are issued to your original payment method. Cancellations inside the window are refunded minus provider processing fees.
Can I reschedule instead?
Almost always, yes — and usually free. Message your concierge on WhatsApp and we will shuffle dates, tours or even cities.
The tours
What is the difference between Private and Small-Group?
Private tours are just your party with one buddy — fully flexible. Small-Group tours cap at 8–10 travellers and run at a lower per-person price. Same buddies, same standards.
Will the tour run in bad weather?
City tours run in all weather (rain on the wall is a memory, not a problem). If safety requires cancellation — typhoon days, site closures — you get a full refund or free reschedule, your choice.
Are tours suitable for children and older travellers?
Yes, with notes: each tour page lists walking distance and pace. Tell us about strollers, wheelchairs or slow pace at booking — buddies adapt routes as a matter of course.
Do your guides speak other languages?
All buddies speak fluent English; several speak French, Japanese or Spanish. Every page shows each buddy's languages. Other languages on request.
Practical China
Do I need a visa?
Most nationalities need a visa, but China now offers 240-hour (10-day) visa-free transit through major airports for many travellers — perfect for our city tours. We provide invitation-letter guidance for full visas. Ask us before you apply; rules change and we track them.
Will I need cash? Can I use my phone?
China is mobile-first: we help every guest set up Alipay/WeChat Pay with an international card on day one — after that, cash is mostly a souvenir. Your buddy handles all tour-day payments for you.
What about the internet? Will I be able to use Google, WhatsApp?
WhatsApp, Google and social media need a workaround in mainland China. We send a simple setup guide before arrival, and recommend eSIMs that handle it automatically. Your concierge stays reachable on WhatsApp throughout — it works fine for us.
