Last updated: August 2026. These terms govern your use of travelbuddy.cn and the tours we provide. The short version: be kind, we will too.
1. Agreement
By booking a tour or using this website you accept these terms. If you book on behalf of others in your party, you confirm they accept them too.
2. Bookings & prices
Prices are shown and charged in USD (unless stated otherwise), per person or per group as marked on each tour page. Prices include and exclude exactly what is listed on the tour page. A booking is confirmed when payment is received and you receive our confirmation email/WhatsApp message.
3. Payment
We accept major cards via our payment providers. Your card is charged at checkout in USD; your bank may apply its own conversion rate and fees for non-USD cards.
4. Changes by you
Date changes are free up to 48 hours before departure, subject to availability. Cancellations: 100% refund up to 24 hours before city tours and 7 days before multi-day journeys; later cancellations are refunded the recoverable costs only (tickets already purchased on your behalf are non-refundable).
5. Changes by us
We may adjust itineraries for weather, safety, site closures or force majeure — maintaining, wherever possible, the character and value of the tour. If we cancel a tour entirely, you receive a full refund or free reschedule, your choice.
6. Travel documents & health
You are responsible for valid passports, visas and health requirements. We provide documented guidance (invitation letters, itineraries for visa applications) on request. While we track policies carefully, final border decisions rest with immigration authorities.
7. Safety & conduct
Follow your buddy's safety guidance — their word is final on matters of safety. We may end a tour without refund for abusive behaviour toward buddies, staff or local people. (Rare. Let's keep it rare.)
8. Insurance
Travel insurance is strongly recommended and required for multi-day journeys. Our pricing does not include insurance.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the affected booking. We are not liable for indirect losses (flights missed, lost income, disappointment). Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
10. Reviews & content
By posting a review you grant us a non-exclusive right to display it on our site and marketing. We never edit review text; we may hide reviews that are unlawful, abusive or clearly unrelated to a real booking experience.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, with the courts of Shanghai having jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.
