Eight days, three cities, 3,000 years. This is the route emperors, merchants and now bullet trains have made inevitable: Beijing's imperial scale, Xi'an's buried armies, Shanghai's future-facing skyline — connected by fast rail at 300 km/h.

Airport pickup with a name sign, transfer to your hotel near the Forbidden City. Evening welcome dinner: Peking duck, carved tableside, with a briefing from your Beijing buddy over tea.

Skip-the-line Forbidden City (booked 7 days ahead), Jingshan Hill panorama, hutong courtyard visit and family teahouse. Evening free — your buddy's dinner list awaits.

Day 3 · The Great Wall at Mutianyu

Private Mutianyu day: cable car up, ridge walk, toboggan down, farm lunch. Return by 16:30 with an optional Summer Palace detour.

Morning tai-chi hour among the locals at the Temple of Heaven, antique street stroll, and the 798 Art District afternoon (or National Museum — your call). Evening acrobatics show option.

Day 5 · Bullet Train to Xi'an

First-class bullet train southwest (4.5 h). Afternoon arrival, Muslim Quarter tasting walk, city wall at dusk with bikes. Two nights inside the old city walls.

Full warriors day done right (Pit 1 first at opening), biang-biang noodle lunch, Small Wild Goose Pagoda and a calligraphy workshop afternoon. Optional Tang-dynasty dinner show.

No — it runs for your party only (2–8 guests), with a different local buddy in each city plus the WhatsApp concierge connecting everything.
Which hotels exactly?
Central 4-star boutiques (e.g. a courtyard hotel in Beijing's hutongs, a Bund-view tower in Shanghai) confirmed at booking, all walkable to key sights. 5-star upgrade available.
Can we add Hangzhou or Guilin?
Yes — 2-day extensions from Shanghai (Hangzhou/Suzhou/Water Towns) or the Guilin Li River add-on after Beijing. Quoted in 24 hours.
